COVID-19 / Delayed Season FAQ

*If your questions is not answered here, please contact us at [email protected].

Q: Is the season really going to happen?

A: This is absolutely our intent. If we start on April 27th, we will have a week of practice and be able to start games Saturday May 2nd. That will leave us room for 10 to 14 games depending on what level you are at.

Q: How does it affect the TOC (Tournament of Champions) and All Stars for the older kids?

A: Right now, I would say the TOC is possibly at risk.  This is not a requirement for a “complete season” and it is not completely out of the question at this point. For All Stars we have must a 12-game season. To be eligible for the all-star selection a player needs to have played in at least 60 percent of the games in a 12 games season. Right now, the plan is for a 14-game season for Majors and AAA divisions and 10 to 12 games for every other division. This is pretty close to in line with what we have had in the past.

Q: I am a coach/assistant coach, do I have anything to do right now?

A: Yes, for our younger divisions we need to ensure everyone completes the necessary online trainings for Concussion and Cardiac Arrest.    You also need to provide all the needed information for a complete background check. Your division directors will be in touch soon.

Q: As a parent what can I be doing?

A: Playing catch with your child is a great first step. We are working on some information that will help you with other skills. Call it an “at home drill library”. We hope to start sending this information out soon.

Q: Refunds

A: We will not be processing any refunds until we have actually canceled the season. The teams are set and this is much more work than what people may realize, especially at the lower divisions with coaching requests and teammate requests. We are asking families to be patient, the funds are a very much available and everyone will get a full refund for registration fees in the event that the season does not happen. To go through the process of refunding and then reregistering will cost everyone with additional credit card fees and will significantly increase the work on our completely volunteer board.
